American pizza chain, Papa Johns, which has 3000 Papa John’s restaurants operating in 24 countries, is planning to open 100 new restaurant outlets, in the next five years, at an investment of more than Rs 100 crore. It may be recalled that Papa Johns had set up shop in India early this year. Presently, it operates restaurants in Noida, Gaziabad and Gurgaon.
All of the new outlets will come up across North India, particularly, Amritsar, Ludhiana and Rajasthan and the NCR region. the Papa Johns will change flavours and toppings to suit the local taste.
India, where the market here is growing at the rate of 20%, is one of the six priority markets from where most of the growth for Papa Johns will come, said Kamal R Tandon, Chairman of Papa Johns India. (PTI Report)
