Jeet-O, the retail brand of Noida based, Rs. 15 crore, Jeet (India), a spice and seasoning exporter, is unveiling its retail plan, beginning with Delhi. Jeet-O retail outlets will initially offer fresh and processed spices, pickles, bakery products, pulses, snacks and beverage items. They will soon enhance the product range to include milk products, tea and coffee powder, packaged drinks, and jams, pickles and spices. “We would also sell confectionery items in the retail stores, but expect almost 90% of our revenues to come from the spices business only,” said Praveen Kumar, its Managing Director.
“Through the retail chain we would be able to eliminate the distributor channel and would pass on the benefit to the customer directly. The prices of our products would be less then the regular market price,” Kumar added.
While first three of the Jeet-O stores will open in Delhi by the end of the next week, 25 stores will come up by March 2007. The store count should go up to 50 by March, 2008 and to 150 by 2010, added Kumar. The company is expecting an average revenue of about Rs 60 lakh from each of its stores.
